World Book Day 2015

World Book Day
World Book Day 2015

As an avid book lover, I could not let this day pass without comment. Children all over the UK have gone off to school dressed as their favourite book characters (quite a few Harry’s, Ron’s and Hermonie’s I suspect).

Which of course prompts the question … who would you dress up as?

Without giving it too much thought, my shortlist would be:

  • Elizabeth Bennet (Pride and Prejudice) – though perhaps Mrs Bennet might be more suitable for me these days.
  • Diana Bishop (A Discovery of Witches) – sexy academic witch with a hunky, brooding, but ultimately good-natured vampire partner. Ooh, who wouldn’t?
  • Professor McGonagall (Harry Potter series) – mainly because I think Maggie Smith is just wonderful and I want to be like her when I’m north of 75 (and I can’t choose her character in Downton Abbey because that’s a TV show and not a book).

Who would you be for a day?

  1. I would choose:

    1) Katniss Everdeen – cause she’s hardcore, tough and doesn’t take no sh*t from anyone.

    2) Bridget Jones – although I don’t think I’d need much dressing up cause apparently I am her already (according to all my friends)

    3) Luna Lovegood – cause she’s so happy in her own little world and doesn’t let anything get her down!

    😀 XX
